Logos: Represent Yourself Correctly

There’s a reason that people are able to recognize a McDonald’s restaurant in any country in the world— the unmistakable golden arches perched on top of the building. McDonald’s has one of the most familiar logos in the world.

Logos Represent You and Your Business

Logos are an essential part of business, but they’re overlooked all too often, even though they can literally make or break you.

As the saying goes, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression,” and in most cases, your logo— the graphic, design, or emblem that symbolizes your company— is often the first thing that potential customers set their eyes on when visiting your business in person or going to your website. That’s why it’s in your best interest to have a logo that conveys the image you want to project.

Simple Logos are Best

A common misconception is that a logo must be loaded with intricate details. In reality, small ornate details can easily get lost, especially in different web browsers. The logo you choose to represent your business should be a crisp, clean image that will look as good on a billboard as it will on an envelope. You may decide to add your company slogan to your logo, but that should also be kept simple because anything too wordy can be overwhelming.

Use a Quality Logo

Designing your own logo is not completely out of the question, but keep in mind that you want a logo you’re proud to display on your sign and your website. In most cases, a logo that you threw together the night before you ordered business cards isn’t top quality.

Whether your company is a one man operation or a multi-million dollar corporation, having your own identity is what can separate you from your competition. A distinct, professional logo is crucial for your success!
